I couldn't get the slideshow onto the blog so here's a link.
We drove down Scenic Byway 12 through Red Canyon to our campsite in Kodachrome Basin State Park. Our campsite was in a bowl shaped canyon. The kids favorite thing to do while in camp was to climb up the rocks. We drove out to an arch called Grovesner's arch. It was tecnically in Grand Staircase-Escalante. We got there at sundown so it was really pretty. I have pictures of Enoch trying to get up to a ledge on the cliff, finally getting up there and then not being able to get down. It was really cold in the morning hence the campfire. That day we went into Bryce Canyon. Gorgeous Place! The only 'hike' we went on was up to an arch inside the state park called Shakespeare Arch. Other than that we did a lot of walking. We took the long way home so see a great view of Escalante and Canyonlands from above. We stopped at Anasazi State Park to check out the home of the ancient ancestral Pueblos. Neat. We got home late but it was fun.
